Format, schedule and more for Stockholm qualifier


DreamHack Open Stockholm is approaching and we are now pleased to reveal the format and schedule, as well as additional information surrounding the qualifier for the next CS:GO Major.



A total of 16 teams will be in attendance at DreamHack Open Stockholm, with 8 qualification spots for the next CS:GO Major on the line. While the qualification process is still running and not all teams have been determine, we today announce the format and schedule for the 5 day event.

Format


The 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. Each group will have 2 spots for the CS:GO Major at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca.

The first 4 days will be played from the Monster Energy DreamHack Studios, which will be closed to the public, but every single match will be broadcast online for free. Each group is played in a double-elimination bracket, with all matches played best-of-three maps. Each day one team will qualify for the CS:GO Major at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca.

The last match of each group, the Final Match, will be played on Saturday inside the Annexet Globe Arenas, where 4 teams will qualify for the CS:GO Major.

Practice area


Starting on Tuesday 22nd of September, DreamHack will provide all teams who are not playing matches in the studio with access to a dedicated practice area at the team's hotel. As the qualifier progresses, teams still in the qualifier will have priority over those eliminated.

Tickets


For Saturday, Annexet Globe Arenas will be the arena to feature the final matches of the qualifier, which will qualify the final 4 teams for the next CS:GO Major. Fans wanting to come can do so by purchasing tickets by going here.
